First quarter review

Being that it is the end of March, I thought I would revisit my 2009 resolutions goals.

1. I will lose 10 pounds.

This one is going well. I have lost 7 pounds, so am already over half way to my measly goal.

2. We will work harder at paying down our debt by paying off at least 2 credit cards.

Half way there too. I used our tax refund to pay off one of our major credit cards. And we've jumped on the Dave Ramsey baby step train, so we're on our way to getting rid of the rest of our debt.

3. Stay in school.

Another half way point. I am half way through my first year, starting my third quarter next week. Yay!!! And I finished that dad gum stats class. There always seems to be one class I dread each quarter. This time it will be Community Health, I think. It seems very involved. We'll see how it turns out.

So, being halfway through my goals at the quarter mark, means I will have accomplished them all at the halfway point, right? Nope, not really. While I hope to have lost 10 pounds by the end of June, and would love to have another credit card paid off by then, I won't actually be done with my first year of school until August.

Birthday Recap

Krista and I took the kiddos to Entertrainment Junction for Teag's birthday. If you're near Cincinnati, OH and you have kids, or you really like model trains, you should check it out. They have a huge, walk through display of trains, trains, and more trains. I didn't really get any good pics because 1. they are moving trains, and 2. they are behind glass.

They had alot of interactive displays too. The kids liked being able to control some of the trains and sounds.

There is a play area with Thomas the train tables,

a kid size play train with a coal bin and bell they can pull,
and a jungle gym.
Tess just hung out in the Ergo.
The infamous ant cake

I tried and tried to talk Teagan into a monkey cake or dog cake or anything besides ants, but he insisted he wanted ants on his cake. He likes ants because "I can smash them with my shoes".

Not too shabby, I think. The ants are Raisinettes, in case you're curious, and the "ant hill" is crushed Oreos.

Teagan was pretty excited about his new truck, and REAL MONEY!
All in all, we had a fun day. I don't think Teagan will ever forget the trains. Unfortunately, that means he has requested to go back to see the trains at least 100 times in the last two days.

Four years ago.....

......today, this little person came into the world. You can read more about it here. It really was quite funny. Or at least, it is now.

He was a mellow little red haired boy.

And then he grew

Into a blond, Dora loving,

blue eyed cutie.

Sometimes, he's a shy guy.
(Would you believe that big kid behind him came home from the hospital in that carseat?)

He's friendly

playful

all around adorable.

He likes to live dangerously.

But still snuggles in for a cuddle.

And I so wish I could keep him from turning four. I'm not ready for him to not be my baby boy. I couldn't stop his brothers from growing. Can't I keep this one?

Happy birthday, Teag!
Mommy's baby boy.
We love you bunches.

I feel dizzy

And you will too after you watch what Teagan does when he sneaks off with the camera.

High chair adventures

Hmm, what's this?
Is it a bean?

I think I've got it.
I did get it!
I like green beans!
Do you like green beans?
I like to suck green beans.
What? You don't suck green beans?
Where'd my bean go?
Oh dear, I think I've lost it.
