Easter (and other updates)

Today was a busy day. The kids bugged us all morning about decorating eggs. The rest of the family was coming over for lunch so we had to finish up the desserts, but we did eventually get to the eggs. I opted for sponge dye this year, thinking it would be less messy. Not so.
Everyone had stained fingers by the time we were done.
After lunch, we had our annual Easter egg hunt in the backyard. Thankfully, it hasn't rained recently, and was fairly warm. Ok, more like not freezing cold. Tess sat this one out and just observed from Daddy's lap.
Out the door and ready to go. Tanner was the assistant egg hider again this year. Twelve is a bit too told to hunt for Easter eggs, don't you know?
Teagan was super excited to find eggs.
Cousin Braeden came over to hunt eggs too.
That's no egg. It's a chocolate bunny.
Tatum and Travis were hunting eggs too, they just ran a little too fast for me to snap pics of them.
It's the Easter Bunny!!!
Not really. That's just Cotton AKA Bunny AKA Snowball, depending on which kid you ask.
Checking out the stash.

Tess entertained everyone with her antics.
"Why yes, that is slobber on my shirt. That's because I love to do this."
Blowing raspberries is her passion. She lives for it. That and squealing. She particularly enjoys it if someone squeals back. Fake coughing is also fun.
She is an 8 month old now.
Still toothless, though she can put away some green beans and corn. She's mastered the army crawl and has decided inching forward on her belly is much preferable to crawling on her hands and knees. She, dare I say it out loud, slept through the night last night. From 9 pm until almost 8 am. What bliss. I'm pretty sure it was a fluke and won't happen again, but wouldn't it be grand?
In other news, I am down another pound so I've hit my first goal of 10 pounds! Woohoo! Not real sure what effect Easter might play on that though. I guess we'll find out next week if the chocolate eggs, jelly beans, and cherry cheesecake were a bit too much.

Congrats on the weight loss. The first 10 pounds is always the hardest, I think. Keep up the good work!
