The kids had chicken nuggets for lunch.
And brought home a bucket of chicken for dinner.
My office has been invaded by baby chicks.
This will be their home eventually.
Bobby and Tanner finished up our new hen house yesterday.
We figured, we got this big old barn. Might as well use it for something right? We've talked about getting chickens for a couple years now and finally just dove right in. It should be an experience.
Let's hope they're all hens.

Are you crazy?? 5 kids is one thing - a slew of chickens is a whole other matter. You just never cease to amaze me - not afraid to try anything. Have fun!
I think it's great! Evie gets chicks every year and Darcie gets to name them and play with them. And, of course, we get some of the eggs! Are you going to let them run around the yard? Oh, in town, you might not be allowed to. Evie lives in the country and does. have fun with them.
Congratulations on getting your first chickens! We've had chickens for a while now in our suburban home, and love them. It's a wonderful experience for my children, and the eggs! Pets with a bonus - win/win!
