#2 is 11
Travis is 11 today. Or rather will be at 11:15 tonight if you want to be all official like. This one snuck up on me. No, not really. How could it with "my birthday is in 2 weeks, 6 days, 4 days, 2 days, tomorrow...."? Know what I mean? The boy has been asking for a Lego train for like, ever. And every day since then.
Teagan told me a little while ago "If Travis gets a Lego train for his birthday, I will be so proud. Because he will help me do Lego crashes." Yes, apparently there is a whole Lego crash movement out there on You*Tube. And my 5 yr old said he would be proud. That was the funniest part of that sentence.
We will be officially celebrating tomorrow since I will be headed to work shortly. Or maybe not. I guess I'll be on call. So I can keep my cooties at home.

Another birthday
This one's birthday was Friday. He is up into the double digits now,
the big 1-0.
We surprised him with a trip to someplace a little fishy.

I'll give you a hint.....
There were lots of fish there.
And some frogs
And some of those cool jellies.
These too.

Some turtles
Some gators
A diver or two
And even one of these freaky things.
Give up yet? Okay, yeah, we went to Newport Aquarium.

Teagan was pretty disappointed because he really wanted to hold one and we just couldn't get them to walk over onto his hand.
He had a good time though, as did everyone else.
And Mom and Dad enjoyed the 2 kids free with 1 adult ticket.
They even threw in free kids meal coupons from Bob Evans.
Guess where we had lunch?
Buh bye now!

Concerts, candles, and .....
cool food? Cute kids? Confessions? Uh, it's been 11 days since I last blogged....
Anyway, a review of the last little bit.
Thanksgiving was at our house this year, and I cooked. Everything! Well, Bobby made the mashed potatoes, but I made the rest.
It was yum, yum, yummy. Except for maybe the cornbread dressing, which I admit was too dry for my taste.
This is the apple pie that little Travis made. It was a big hit.
And the cherry cheesecake. Always a favorite. I think I'll be skipping pumpkin next year. Nobody really likes it anyway.
Tatum and Travis had their Christmas concerts over the weekend. See that little guy in the front row with the red shirt and tie? He's not mine. But Tatum is right behind him in the white sweater.
And here she is as Comet.
See the short guy in the back row between the two tall girls? He's mine. I think they purposely hid Travis back there so it wouldn't be as noticeable when his lips didn't move. I think he only sang about half the time.
Anyway, a review of the last little bit.

So it ends...

And so it begins....
Baseball season, that is. Travis's season started on Monday. They lost their first game and were rained out for the second. But today, was a winner! They won 13-12. And let me tell you, I have never seen so many bases stolen in one game. I think that is how most of the runs were made. Over throw a base, someone's running around to the next one.
In fact, see how nobody is really paying attention to Travis running to second? That's because the ball was just pitched and missed by the catcher.

Party, party
We had Little Trav's birthday party last weekend.
Teagan was explaining to Krista how he is going to be "5". Not really, he's only 3, for a little while longer anyway. Tatum is totally psyched for her brother to get presents. Can't you tell?

Snuggling up to Aunt Kristy. He's always had a thing for older women.

This year, both the older boys received mostly money for their birthdays. Which was great because they both had their eyes on new bikes. They went later that night to pick out some new ones and still have money left over. Daddy, the spender, thinks they should buy whatever they want. Mommy, the saver, thinks they should learn about saving.
